With so much going on at the end of the year we want to help our community get the information they need. Please take a moment to review the information below and click the links for the answers.

FAQ 1. What am I supposed to do for the Distance Instructional Support Days on June 24th and 25th? Do I have to attend (virtually)?

FAQ 2. When should I hand in my textbooks and other items on loan? What do I do with my Chromebook if I am not coming back to SJAM next year?

FAQ 3. What if I am graduating or departing/leaving the WRDSB for another school board? How can I move my files from my Google account before I have to return my Chromebook and my WRDSB Google accounts get closed?

 FAQ 4. My Chromebook isn’t working or is lost but I need it for my current classes and/or summer school. How do I get help? First, try WRDSBs TECH@HOME site.

If you can’t resolve the problem using Tech@home please fill out this SJAM Chromebook Issues Ticket before June 29th so we have time to get your issue resolved. After July 5th and until July 29, 2021 summer school students should contact the summer school office for Chromebook support. SJAM Chromebook Issues Tickets received between June 28th and August 23rd will be reviewed between August 23rd and September 5th.

FAQ 5. I need to find out more about summer school. When does it start? What courses are offered? What is the format of classes? How do I get registered now that I missed the deadline of May 21st?

Contact your guidance counselor before June 29th by email for specific advice or questions about your current or potential summer school registration;

 FAQ 6. What will next year be like? Will there be quadmesters or semesters, hybrid and remote learning, how many courses in a day, what will the health and safety rules be? At this time we are still waiting on direction from the Ministry of Education, Public Health, and WRDSB as to the answer to all of these questions. As things are constantly changing, our best advice is to subscribe to jam.wrdsb.ca for timely updates and announcements from WRDSB and SJAM right to your inbox. Scroll down to the bottom of our website and enter your email, then click subscribe…that’s it!

 FAQ 7. When and how will I get my report card? Final Report Cards will NOT be picked up at the office this year but instead will be mailed to each student’s primary home address on file. Parents/Guardians/Students should expect to receive Report Cards between July 15th and July 30th.

 FAQ 8. What are the SJAM office hours over the summer? The Main office will be open from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm until July 16th. We will reopen our office on August 23rd. Please call 519-880-9979 if you need to contact the main office and before you decide if you need to make a visit (ie., to drop off items late) as access will be very limited.

 FAQ 9. What can I do if I (or one of my friends/siblings) needs help supporting mental health over the summer?
