Student Transportation – Updates for 2019/2020

Info for Transported Students:

STSWR has updated the transportation network which may have changed stop times or locations. Students eligible for transportation can go to www.stswr.ca on August 19, 2019 and click on student login to retrieve updated bussing information. Ontario Education Numbers (OEN) are needed in order to log in and access transportation details which can be found on a report card from any school in Ontario.  See previous post regarding further details required to access STSWR info.

All Students – Check Eligibility for Transportation:

Students can check their transportation eligibility by going to www.stswr.ca and clicking on Transportation Eligibility. It is recommended that eligible students verify the details as stop locations and times may have changed.

Transportation details can be retrieved by visiting www.stswr.ca on August 19, 2019 and clicking on Student Login. Ontario Education Numbers are needed in order to log in and access transportation details which can be found on a report card from any school in Ontario

Course Change Request Day – Thursday, Aug. 29th (UPDATE)

Thursday, August 29th (8:30-2:00)

Students wishing to request a course change prior to opening day may come to SJAM on Thursday, August 29th (8:30-2:00) to meet with any available guidance counsellor.  Meetings are first-come, first-served – students will be assigned a number upon arrival and will wait to be called.  Please use the course change request form (posted below).  Carefully follow instructions on the form before bringing this to the school on the 29th.

FULL & CLOSED COURSES – UPDATED AUGUST 28TH:
Before making any course change requests, please make sure you review the lists posted below.  Any courses that appear on these lists are not available for any course changes at this time (additions or moves to other sections).  Course change forms may also not be used to request switches into pre-AP or AP classes.  Guidance will not process change requests for any courses listed as full/closed.

FULL/CLOSED COURSES – NOT AVAILABLE FOR CHANGES, MOVES OR ADDITIONS

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MANY CORE/COMPULSORY COURSES ARE FULL AND CAN’T BE MOVED TO ACCOMMODATE SOME CHANGES. THIS WILL DIRECTLY IMPACT STUDENTS’ ABILITIES TO SWITCH CLASSES.

IMPORTANT – guidance counsellors will not be processing any course change requests prior to this date as they are busy completing new student registrations, etc.  Students who can’t come to SJAM on this date may still submit change requests during the first week of school (deadline Thursday, Sept. 5th at 3:00pm).

No regular online appointment bookings will be available until after the first week of school.

Early Timetable Pickup – August 27 & 28

Tuesday, August 27th & Wednesday, August 28th (8:30-2:30)

Students wishing to pickup their timetable before opening day can drop into SJAM on Tuesday, Aug. 27th or Wednesday, Aug. 28th (8:30-2:30).  Staff will be on hand to distribute timetables in the first floor foyer.

NOTE – guidance staff will not be available on these days to review and/or change any timetables.  Students wishing to make any changes can come to SJAM on Thursday, Aug. 29th (see post for details).

To receive your timetable, you MUST bring your completed/signed data verification forms and/or back to school information forms.  Timetables will not be given out without these forms.
