Gr 9 Students – Virtual Take Your Kids to Work Day 2020, Nov. 4th
Posted October 30, 2020
Take Our Kids to Work Day has long been a successful activity for our Grade 9 students in gaining real world experience in the workplace. This year, we find ourselves in unprecedented times and the result is a decision to support a virtual Take Our Kids to Work Day. While we acknowledge that an in-person experience is preferable, we are joining most school boards in ensuring the health and safety of our students during this time and also provide a rich experience of workplace exposure through a virtual platform.
The WRDSB is proud to encourage our community to participate in Virtual Take Our Kids to Work 2020: The Day That Lasts A Lifetime!
The Learning Partnership’s Take Our Kids to Work is an exciting, inspiring event to connect parents/caregivers and their Grade 9 students in a day full of fun and career exploration.
On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, Canada’s longest-running, highest-profile career exploration event is going virtual and offering more options than ever before including:
-
New, dynamic and engaging experiences delivered virtually
-
Opportunity to join other students, parents, employees and workplaces from across Canada for an exciting cornerstone event and four live breakout sessions on specific sectors and careers
-
Register for resources, planning guides, activity tips and access to pre-recorded and LIVE event links
