It is time to name our school!

The voices of students and staff will serve to inform the Renaming Committee (a committee of the Board of Trustees) with what our preferences are for the new name of our school.

The Renaming Committee determines the top 3 recommendations for WRDSB Trustees, and then Trustees will select from the recommended 3 names.

Between now and Feb. 26th, cast your ballot for what you would like our new name to be. One ballot for each student and staff member.

The process of renaming 650 Laurelwood Drive is a step in our Reconciliation journey.

From the submissions sent to the Renaming Committee, reflecting the geography and neighbourhood of our school, five options have been selected:

• Creekside Secondary School
• Headwaters Secondary School
• Laurel Heights Secondary School
• North West Secondary School
• Sugar Maple Secondary School
