Please know that our first round of communication of a confirmed positive Covid Case in your child’s class, complete with information and direction from Public Health, will be sent to the email that the parent/guardian has used to registered themselves with in the School Day system.  With this system, a response back from the families (and instructions will be provided in the email notification) will be embedded in the notification.  This feedback loop serves as a “check” to ensure that families have received the information that will be sent to you by the school on behalf by Public Health.

Follow-up phone calls will continue for families who have not confirmed the receipt of the information sent via email.  Notification by phone will not be as timely as email notification and due to the hours involved in school staff making those calls.  We encourage families to regularly check their emails for notifications from the school.  This is the quickest way that we can keep you informed.

Similar to last year, all schools will be sharing on its website and School Day occurences of positive Covid Cases presented within the school at the direction of Public Health  while respecting the privacy of the individuals involved.
