Do You Drive Your Kids to School? Help Keep Our SJAM Students Safe!

The SJAM administration would like to remind parents and caregivers of the BEST areas to use for student drop-off and/or pickup.  The map below shows spots to allow for best traffic flow and safety for our students and other drivers.

Areas marked in RED should not be used for student drop-off or pickup (before or after school).  This includes both front and back parking lots. There are also signs posted at the rear parking lot entrance indicating no student drop-off.  Areas marked in BLUE are considered safe drop-off areas (including long driveway behind school and specific side-streets nearby).

Most importantly – our Laurelwood driveway/front parking lot should be considered OFF LIMITS at peak drop-off and pickup (8:10-8:30, 2:20-2:50) since our most vulnerable learners’ SPECIALIZED BUSES drop off and pickup there.  Due to wheelchairs, ramps and the staggered times of drop-offs, this area should not be used by parents/drivers.

Thank you for helping with this safety measure.  We believe our mobile students who do not have physical challenges will want to support our special needs in this simple way.

Please consult the map and direct any questions or concerns to any SJAM administrator.
